Homer United Methodist Church has been a body of believers since the 1800's.  We open our doors to all to come and worship with us.  We have a traditional worship service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings and Sunday School for all ages at 10:00 a.m.  Our music is under the direction
of Brenda Feltman and is accompanied by
Dr. Sherry Durham, organist, and
Charlotte Pruitt, pianist.  Holy Communion is observed the first Sunday in each month, and we invite all believers to share communion at our altar.  The calendar of monthly events and other worship opportunities are posted monthly on our web site.
The location of our facility is listed on our web page as well as other means of communication with our staff.  Please contact us, visit our church, request prayer, or ask to
receive our newsletter.

We have a place for you at HomerUMC.
Homer UMC was established in 1866 as a congregation of believers sharing the word of God with the world through fellowship and acts of compassion.  One hundred forty-three  years later, these same ideals hold true.  We invite you to come and worship with us as we follow the mission of all United Methodists:  "to make disciples of Jesus Christ by proclaiming the good news of God's grace and thus seeking the fulfillment of God's reign and realm in the world.  The fulfillment of God's reign and realm in the world is the vision scripture holds before us.  The United Methodist Church affirms that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the Lord of all.  We respect persons of all religious faiths and we defend religious freedom for all persons.  Jesus' words in Matthew 28: 19-20 provide the Church with our Mission:  "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you."
